Stop by to get a quick bite to eat. I only got the pork chops. They were great and so very tasty. This was my first time visiting but it will not be my last. 10/10!

It is absolutely mind blowing how amazing everything is/was!! Sunday 2-16-25 my husband and I found this establishment. Initially we were going to THE BRUNCH BISTRO but sadly they had 1 1/2 hr wait time. I told my husband everything happens for a reason. Today was not meant for us to be here. We called this establishment and they had no wait time... So we were on thee way. We were puzzled pulling up to the building but then we eventually found it. If you are facing the building, it is on the left. This is not a restaurant setting. It is a order and to go or you can sit in the seating area that is provided for you in a little Court. We found that to be okay because once we looked at their menu and your nose starts smelling the aroma of this fabulous place, you want to be home eating this food. We ordered oxtails, baked chicken, creamy corn, collard greens, green beans, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, bread pudding, cornbread, and last but not least peach cobbler. Everything was on point 10 out of 10.... Nothing wasted!! The drive from Dallas and the was all worth it. We will be returning!!!! Y'all deserve all the blessings!!!!

It’s hard to get 5 stars out of me but this was my first time having this place. Everything I ordered was hitting. The oxtails was bussin, the yams even though they don’t have marshmallows in them I could taste them and they were bussin good and sweet. The Mac and cheese was hitting too. I should have ordered more cause the Mac and cheese was gone quick.

Editing with an update: The normal menu is still amazing, but they recently added 3 salads so I had to try one. I chose the chef salad with fried chicken. This thing was HUGE!! And delicious. Like for real, one of the best salads I've ever had. Dear Lord, they put their whole foot in this food! I tried the Mexicali hash bowl this morning and it was divine!! Had the Salisbury steak a couple weeks ago and it was easily enough for 2 meals and melt in your mouth good. They're inside The OC along with shops and other restaurants. Such a cool place!

I tried the Salisbury steak and it was pure comfort food done right. The beef patty was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned—tender enough to cut with a fork but still hearty and satisfying. The real star was the gravy. It was savory, smooth, and packed with depth—exactly what you want smothered over a classic Salisbury steak. Paired with creamy mashed potatoes and cheesy man and cheese it made for a filling, feel-good meal that hit all the right notes. It’s simple, nostalgic, and delicious. If you’re craving something cozy and old-school, this Salisbury steak definitely delivers.

My husband and came here for date night for the first time and we really enjoyed literally everything we ordered. Smothered pork chops, greens and mac n cheese was what I ordered, while he had the baked chicken greens and green beans (dieting!) First thing we tasted was the greens and they did NOT disappoint! Although, the onion gravy for the smothered dish was a bit on the salty side it was still delicious. I rounded mine off with the banana pudding (my diet starts in 2 days!) and it was also amazing! I’m a mac n cheese, greens and banana pudding snob and ALL of them were SO ON POINT! Definitely will be coming back to try other dishes once this diet has ended! lol

This is my second time getting the jerk lamb chops and cheesy grits and omg they are AMAZING. They looked better the last time I got them and I dined in as well. But let me tell you, these DO NOT disappoint! They are so good and cheesy and the sauce is so delicious. The lamb chops are on point as well. So good and flavorful! I would get these everyday if I could afford it. It’s a little high for my budget but well worth it when I do decide to get it. I can’t wait to try other dishes from this restaurant. And it’s so close to me as well. So glad I don’t have to drive all the way to Dallas for some good soul food. And the atmosphere of the OC when I dined in, so peaceful and relaxing. Bright, comfortable lighting. Just an all over great experience. Highly recommend.

I had the fried pork chops and the loaded fries. The flavor of both was amazing. The food is a little more pricey than other places at the OC but well worth the extra cost. I'm already thinking about other things that I want to try when I go back. All the food is scratch made. Adding a few more pictures. The mac-n-cheese is probably the best I have ever tasted. The corn cake is cornbread with butter and honey (amazing).
